Razor Blade Smile

Trash! Trash! Trash! But it’s like the kind of trash that you will keep under your bed for weeks and years. The kind of trash you are publicly embarrassed to admit that you own, but secretly smile with delight when everyone else has left the room. What else can you say about an art-house vampire film with the cover depicting a leather clad lady vampire wielding a HUGE machine gun (alas the gun never quite makes it into the film!).

Lilith Silver, immortal vampire, predator of mortals, attendee at tacky UK goth clubs and enemy of ‘bad dudes’ is here with bad acting and magnificent special effects. In fact Id say most of the budget went on special effects and liters of pseudo-blood, I’ve never seen so much blood in a film before. The story follows her life, loves, and vampiric rampages, all grounded by a cunning simplistic sub-plot that is predictable until the last turn unfolds………..but that is not what we are here for, isn’t it. Admit it. You’re here for katana wielding, leather clad vampire queens, bad acting and a damm good time. I loved it, more so in retrospect. Beer, pretzels, liters of blood and smiling fangs! See this movie!!!

3 fangs out of five.
